Five wounded in shooting in Tel Aviv

At least five people were wounded in a shooting by unknown assailants in central Tel Aviv.

The website of the State Radio and Television Corporation indicates that an ambulance has rushed to the scene.

One of the injured is in serious condition, said Eli Bean, director of Magen David Adom (Israel’s National Prehospital Emergency Organization).

Police are asking people to stay away from the area.

The post indicates that the soldiers and police are fully prepared for the fight.

The Jerusalem Post reports that the shooting took place in several locations on Dizengoff Street, a popular street lined with bars and restaurants.

Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett was on his way to the Kiria military headquarters in Tel Aviv and received regular reports of the attack.

And earlier in the Israeli city of Bnei Brak, a shooting took place, killing five people.

On 27 March, an armed attack occurred in the Israeli city of Hadera, killing two local residents and wounding six others, including two policemen.

According to the latest information, there were two attackers – they were neutralized by police response fire.
