The Minister of Sports congratulates the Egyptian Judo Federation after obtaining the African Championship title
The Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, praised the players of the national judo team, the Egyptian Judo Federation, and its board of directors, headed by Engineer Marzouk, after they won the African Senior Championship and topped the overall standings of the tournament.
The Egyptian judo team won 8 medals, including 3 golds. And two silver and three bronze medals, while Algeria ranked second, and Morocco third.
Sobhi stressed the political leadership’s keenness to support the champions in various games in proportion to the extent of the achievements they achieve, to be an incentive for the players to achieve positive results and achieve new achievements. It will be added to the records of Egyptian sports successes.
The minister pointed to the leadership and status of Egyptian sports at the level of the African continent in various individual and team games, and the achievements achieved by Egyptian champions in all continental championships.
