The European Union delegation to the country celebrates" Europe Day "

Abu Dhabi, May 10 / WAM / Abdul Rahman Al Neyadi, Director of the European Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, yesterday attended the reception held by Her Excellency Lucie Berger, Ambassador of the European Union Delegation to the country, on the occasion of “Europe Day”.

The ceremony, which was held at the Park Hyatt Saadiyat Hotel, was also attended by a number of officials and heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions accredited to the country.

Her Excellency Lucy Berger praised the strong relations between the European Union and the UAE, noting that work is being done to enhance and strengthen them in various fields.

She added that the UAE is the European Union’s first trading partner in the region and is considered the second import partner and one of the largest investors in the European Union.

It is noteworthy that Europe Day, which is celebrated on the ninth of May every year, is the national holiday of the European Union.
