Wreckage and bodies of passengers of missing plane found in Nepal

The wreckage of the Tara Air plane that went missing on May 29 with 22 people on board was found in Nepal.

The wreckage was found in the municipality of Tasang village in the Mustang region of Nepal. Weather conditions interfered with the search for the aircraft, but patrol and inspection units of law enforcement agencies and local residents continued their search in adverse weather conditions.

Brigadier General Narayan Salwal, spokesperson for the Nepali Land Forces, posted a photo of the found wreck on social media with the caption: “Crash site.” The photo shows that the plane was completely destroyed.

According to media reports, on board the plane were three crew members and 19 passengers, including 13 Nepalese, four Indians and two German citizens.

The plane took off on the morning of May 29 from Pokhara Airport to Jomsom, contact with it was lost a few minutes after its departure.
