Macron: EU and Turkey are trying to cancel the Ukrainian grain export ban

French President Emmanuel Macron said on the sidelines of the extraordinary EU summit in Brussels, that the European Union and Turkey will work together to release 20 million tons of Ukrainian grain for export.

The French president assessed positively the negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the context of liberalizing grain exports from the Ukrainian side.

“I saw that positive results were reached following the talks between Presidents Putin and Erdogan,” the French president said.

In this regard, Macron expressed his hope that the problem of canceling the export ban on Ukrainian grain would be resolved in the near future.
