Settlers storm Al-Aqsa under the protection of the occupation and arrest 15 Palestinians from the West Bank

Today, Monday, Israeli settlers stormed the courtyards of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, with protection from the occupation police. 

 

Eyewitnesses reported that the settlers entered in more than one group, while The occupation police turned the Old City of Jerusalem into a military barracks, and hundreds of police officers were deployed at close distances, especially at the gates of Al-Aqsa, and imposed restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers. 

 

On the level Arrests in the West Bank: From yesterday evening until this morning, the Israeli occupation forces arrested at least 15 Palestinian citizens, including former prisoners. The prisoners – in a joint statement – said that the arrest operations were distributed across the governorates of Hebron, Ramallah, Bethlehem, Qalqilya, Jericho, and Salfit, accompanied by severe beatings and threats against the detainees and their families, in addition to widespread acts of sabotage and destruction of homes. 

 

The statement added that the occupation forces continue to storm the city of Tulkarm and its camp, since yesterday hours, and we were not able to know the cases of arrests, due to the continuation of the military operation.

He continued that the total number of arrests after October 7 rose to about (8,590), and this total includes those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.
