A women’s Ramadan forum at Al-Azhar Mosque urges the evocation of the afterlife in souls
Today, Thursday, Al-Azhar Mosque held the activities of the noon forum (Women’s Ramadan), in the Al-Sharaqwa gallery, under the title (And the Hereafter is better and more lasting), in the presence of Dr. Mona Salah, Hadith teacher at Al-Azhar University, Dr. Zainab Farid, member of Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa, and Dr. Sanaa Al-Sayyed. Dr. Mona Salah said, God Almighty directs us to the remaining deeds, and teaches us how to prefer the afterlife because it is better and more lasting, for God wants us to ease the costs. With the great reward and the removal of hardship, to make the work of the Hereafter easier for us, she explained the evidence and signs that indicate the preference for the Hereafter, and she concluded her talk by explaining how to combine the good of this world and the Hereafter while preferring the reward of the Hereafter.
For her part, Dr. Zainab Farid explained the great interest that Islam has paid to establishing the meaning of evoking the afterlife with its details in the minds of Muslims, explaining the benefits that accrue to the individual and society from evoking the afterlife, and concluded her speech by stating the lessons learned from the noble verse: “And the hereafter is better and more lasting.”
For her part, Dr. Sanaa Al-Sayyid explained that the Hereafter is the life after which there is no death, and the life that has no duration. God Almighty said: “And indeed, the Hereafter is the life after which there is no life.” They knew, and the fact that the Hereafter remains and will not perish, this is sufficient reason to prefer it over this world, so what if it remains and is better than it in terms of its enjoyment?!, adding that it is self-evident that our talk about the Hereafter and remembering it does not contradict the command to strive to reconstruct and reform the earth, for Islam is the religion of work. And the pursuit of the hidden lands, the Almighty said:﴿ So walk in its calamities and eat from his livelihood and to him the enemy ﴾, and his praise said:﴿ And do not forget your share of the world.
