Cairo Governor: Raising the level of preparedness to receive Eid Al-Fitr

Major General Khaled Abdel-Al, Governor of Cairo, confirmed that the vacations of cleaning and garden workers have been suspended and the level of readiness of the General Authority for Cleaning, Beautification and Lighting of Cairo has been raised to receive Eid al-Fitr, with the intensification of the presence of workers throughout the days of the holiday throughout the entire day around markets, sales outlets and gardens to remove all waste first. First. The Governor of Cairo stressed the Cleanliness Authority to intensify cleaning around mosques, squares, gardens, parks, and the roads leading to them in all Cairo neighborhoods. And police departments to intensify the security presence in the streets and around the parks and coordinate with Cairo Ambulance to be present near the parks to deal with any emergency, and to equip a crew of individuals in each park trained in first aid.

For his part, Ihab El-Shershaby, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cairo Cleaning, Beautification and Lighting Authority, said that lighting was reviewed in all main axes and streets, the streets leading to mosques and squares, and the areas surrounding gardens and parks, and the maintenance of important items such as cables and lighting poles and the tight closure of their doors.

The head of the Cleaning Authority added that the trimming of trees and care of green spaces in general, and in front of mosques and squares in particular, had been completed, and the efficiency of the parks affiliated with the Authority to receive visitors had been raised, including 20 distinct gardens.

He stressed that the Authority’s operations room will continue to operate at full capacity to receive any complaints throughout the day on the numbers 26843759, and the hotline 15264, and in constant communication with the main operations room in the governorate and other operations rooms for public facilities, neighborhoods, ambulances, fire stations, and others.

For his part, Muhammad Sultan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Specialized Parks, confirmed that the vacations of all employees were suspended during the Eid days, and the efficiency and safety of the recreational games were confirmed, and the parks were supported with the necessary security personnel. To maintain security during the days of Eid, and to ensure that all first aid equipment is available in every park to protect those who frequent the parks.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Specialized Parks confirmed that plastic bags will be distributed to Citizens not to throw waste on green areas, roads and garden paths to preserve their civilized appearance in front of visitors.
