Before continuing: “And then two years ago, everything changed again. I realized that I was really losing one of my eyes (…) I could no longer have a normal daily life (…) I was especially losing both eyes”. A descent into hell that medicine still cannot explain.

Hélène Ségara was forced to leave France

She confides it without disguise, today, Hélène Ségara only sees with one eye. Concerning the harassment she suffered, particularly on social networks, following her change in appearance, Hélène Ségara also made some confessions. “From the moment we lose our sight, our eyes desperately seek light, so there were a few television shows where I found myself with squints that I couldn’t control. And on the networks, people are extremely violent “, she began. Before recounting having to leave France for a while: “That’s what led me to go abroad for a while because I didn’t want to be followed and harassed. Every time I was in the hospital, I was followed right to the hospital gates. “.
