Al-Azhar Mosque preacher: Muslims should thank God for the blessing of facilitating obedience

Today’s Friday sermon at Al-Azhar Mosque was delivered by His Eminence Professor Dr. Hassan Al-Saghir, Professor at Al-Azhar University and President of Al-Azhar International Academy for Training, and its topic revolved around “Thanking God for the blessing of facilitation in worship.”

Dr. Hassan Al-Saghir said, “We are still living the blessed month of Ramadan, searching for the Night of Destiny, and moving on in acts of worship and obedience. It is from the mercy of God Almighty that He has made it easy for His servants to perform these acts of worship, such as fasting and standing.” God has bestowed upon us many blessings in Ramadan, and we must thank them by continuing our obedience and not dealing with God as a separate person, and by doing as the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, used to do when he was told: “O Messenger of God, has God not forgiven you for your previous and future sins?” ; His response, peace and blessings be upon him, was: “Shall I not be a grateful servant?”

His Eminence explained that God Almighty God Almighty has imposed upon us fasting for the sake of piety. So each one of us fears himself being tempted to do evil and his devil, and he fears the worries of this world and the torment of the hereafter, and this is one of the aspects of facilitation, and also one of the aspects of facilitation is that He – the Almighty and Majestic – said: “numbered days” for a short period, which is the month of Ramadan, and then He made it easy for them, and made it easy for them at the beginning. When he legislated it, he did not make it obligatory for every accountable person, but rather legislated it as a matter of choice, so whoever wanted to fast, and whoever wanted to be fed.

&nbsp He also permitted the traveler to break the fast, as well as the sick, and said: “So whoever of you is sick or on a journey, then a number of other days.” He did not restrict this illness to a type of illness, but rather generalized it, so when this illness makes fasting significant hardship, or it is delayed with it. He is acquitted, as it is permissible for a person to break his fast, and this regulates many types of ills that exist at that time, and what will happen in the future.

His Eminence concluded All these facilities are for the sake of the servant to complete the kit and thank God for these blessings, and God – the Almighty – responds. The Almighty said: “And when My servants ask you about Me, then I am near. I respond to the call of the supplicant when he calls upon me. So let them respond to Me and believe.” By Me, perhaps they will be guided. So supplication – as is known – There are times in which it is answered, such as fasting, and there are times in which it is answered, such as the pre-dawn meal, and between the call to prayer and the iqama, and it also has times and places in which supplications should be answered.
