In the last Tarawih of the month of Ramadan, thousands of worshipers fill the Al-Azhar Mosque

 The worshipers who came in their thousands from all parts of Egypt and from various capitals of the world, from students at Al-Azhar, residents and visitors to Egypt, lined up today, Monday, on the thirtieth night of the blessed month of Ramadan. The distance did not deter them from breaking their fast in its expanses, and performing… Prayers up to the Tahajjud prayer, submissive to God, seeking His grace, pleasure, and pardon, supplicating to God on the last night of Ramadan, to free their necks from hell.

The worshipers were led by Dr. Muhammad Al-Duwaini, Undersecretary of Al-Azhar, and Dr. Nazir Ayyad, Secretary-General of the Research Academy. Islamic Affairs, Dr. Atti Khidr, Head of the Sector of the Office of the Grand Imam, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Dr. Hani Odeh, Director General of Al-Azhar Mosque, and a group of leaders and scholars of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif.

 

This came within the framework of The intensive efforts made by Al-Azhar Mosque throughout the Holy Month, and great keenness to revive the Ramadan atmosphere and support those who are fasting in obtaining the bounties and blessings of the Holy Month until the last night of the Holy Month, within the framework of the scientific and advocacy program of the Mosque under the patronage of His Excellency the Grand Imam A. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar. Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, throughout the month of Ramadan, which included: (130 recitations – 52 afternoon gatherings – 26 afternoon gatherings – Tarawih prayers at Al-Azhar Mosque and Al-Ba’uth City Mosque, 20 rak’ahs daily with the ten recitations – 30 lessons with Tarawih – 30 gatherings after Tarawih – Tahajjud prayer in the last ten days. – Organizing 7 celebrations related to the Holy Month’s occasions – 6,000 iftar meals daily and 4,000 suhoor meals for foreign and Egyptian students, bringing the meals to more than 150,000 meals throughout the Holy Month.
