Urgent| "Kohler" Reveals the reasons for difficulty facing "Mazembe"

Swiss Marcel Kohler, coach of the first football team at Al-Ahly club, confirmed that the team is ready to face Mazembe tomorrow in the first leg of the CAF Champions League semi-finals, noting that the teams that qualified for the semi-finals must all be special.

Koller said – during the press conference held today – “Tomorrow’s match is difficult, especially since it is against a strong and distinguished team, in addition to being held on an artificial grass field close to the stands. Of course, these are things that increase the difficulty of the match, and Al-Ahly players are ready for that confrontation and their goal is to achieve a good result that will help us in the return match.

The technical director explained that Al-Ahly lost a match in the league, but at the same time the team has many postponed matches and the atmosphere is bad. The African Championship is completely different, especially since the competitor is strong and our goal is to play good football.

Kohler stressed that any player wearing an Al-Ahly shirt represents the team, and that he is completely confident in the players’ ability to present a good match, especially since everyone has the feeling of reaching the final match, and hopes to repeat the experience of last season.

The technical director indicated that he knows well the strength of the opponent and has great experience in the African atmosphere, as he took over coaching the team for nearly a year and a half, and just as we were able to win against Simba in Tanzania, we can win against Mazembe in the Congo and everyone is excited. To perform well.

Regarding Percy Tau’s position, Kohler said that Percy was suffering from an injury and participated in training three days ago, and that the technical staff is studying the possibilities of whether or not he will participate in tomorrow’s match.

The technical director confirmed that Al-Ahly’s goal is to achieve victory tomorrow and that he spoke with the players a lot, to emphasize this meaning, with the necessity of avoiding mistakes and preparing well for the match.

Kohler added that he watched a number of matches for Mazembe, including the match with Pyramids, which the latter lost by three goals, although he missed many of the opportunities achieved, and he could have achieved victory if he had taken advantage of the opportunities that were available to him, and at the same time Mazembe was successful. In the opportunities he was given, that is why he achieved victory, and all I can say is that we will do everything to achieve a positive result tomorrow.

Al-Ahly will meet Mazembe at 3 noon tomorrow, Cairo time, in the first leg of the CAF Champions League semi-finals. .
