NBK Celebrates the Graduation of the First Wave of “NBK Tech Academy”
The graduation ceremony was attended by Ms. Sheikha Al-Bahar, Executive Vice President of the National Bank of Kuwait Group, Mr. Mohammed Al-Othman, CEO of the Personal and Digital Banking Group, and Mr. Mohammed Al-Kharafi, Chief Operating Officer – Head of Group Operations and Information Technology. And Mr. Imad Al-Ablani, General Manager – Head of Group Human Resources.
The academy program lasted for 7 months during which 10 participants received intensive training covering technical skills to advance their careers including but not limited to: FinTech, Data Analytics, Ethics in Technology, Cybersecurity, Fundamentals of Digital Payments, Digital Innovation, Artificial Intelligence . Programming, programming, blogging basics, and finance for non-finance professionals.
In addition to technical skills, the program also focuses on developing soft skills including, but not limited to: teamwork and team building, business planning and business analysis, writing skills, achieving results, meeting customer expectations and customer focus, presentation skills, and productivity in… Workplace, business ethics, principles and values, learning and research, project and change management, and customer experience.
Participants were divided into teams, an expert trainer from the National Bank of Kuwait was assigned to each, and they were challenged to come up with a new idea or improved process that would serve the bank, and the winner was chosen at the end of the program.
On this occasion, Imad Al-Ablani, General Manager of Group Human Resources at the National Bank of Kuwait, said: “We are pleased to graduate the first batch of the National Academy of Technology, which aims to enhance digital talent and enhance expertise in the field of technologies, because we realize the importance of developing the digital community within the bank, so that it has An effective role in enhancing active digital capabilities and enhancing interaction with content and events aimed at driving continuous innovation.
