Rugby: the French XV will face Japan, New Zealand and Argentina during the fall tour

France now knows the location and times of its fall tour, which will take place from November 9 to 22. After a summer tour in Argentina, where Antoine Dupont’s teammates will face the Pumas twice in one week (July 6 and 13), they will cross swords with three other teams to conclude the year 2024.

The Blues will return to the Stade de France on November 9 against Japan. A return to their lair for the Tricolores who played in 2023 throughout France due to the work in the enclosure for Paris 2024 – competition during which the captain of the Blues will be requisitioned for rugby 7. Japan is an adversary to the reach of the XV of France, against whom it has never lost in seven matches (six wins, one draw) and which remains eliminated in the group stage of the last World Cup.

Fabien Galthié’s men will then face New Zealand on November 16, which they managed to subdue at the opening of the World Cup on September 8 (27-13). They will conclude their year with a third duel with Argentina on November 22.

The tour will open on November 2 with a match between England and the All Blacks at Twickenham, and will conclude on November 30 with Ireland-Australia at the Aviva Stadium. Note two shocks: the repeat of the quarter-final at the top of the last World Cup between Ireland and New Zealand on November 8, and the trip of the South African world champions to England on November 16.
