Fanny Herrero, Creator Of ‘Call My Agent’, To Receive Deadline’s 2025 French TV Disruptor Award At Unifrance’s Rendez-Vous Event

French writer and showrunner Fanny Herrero will be honored as Deadline’s 2025 French TV Disruptor at the Rendez-Vous market next month.

Herrero’s long list of credits includes the hit series Ten percent (Call My Agent in English). The comedy drama about a fictional Paris-based talent agency featured a long list of star cameos. It launched on France Televisions before becoming a global hit on Netflix. It has spawned numerous international remakes and there has long been talk of the French cast getting back together.

Herrero has also written on shows including The Blues for M6, Odysseus for Arte and Kaboul Kitchen for Canal+. She created shows including Funny for Netflix, about the lives of young stand-up comics in Paris.

Outside of TV she was on the team that designed the opening ceremony for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games alongside novelist Leïla Slimani, historian Patrick Boucheron, and artistic director Thomas Jolly.

Deadline’s Disruptors strand is well established with a renowned annual Cannes Disruptors magazine and International Disruptors column. The French TV Disruptor Award is in recognition for Herrero’s distinctive and breakout body of work and contribution to the world of TV.

Herrero will do a sit-down interview with Deadline at the Rendez-Vous event and then accept the award at during a ceremony to be held on September 3 at the historic Palais Bénédictine in Fécamp.

The event takes place in Le Havre, having relocated to the port city in Northern France last year. It is a major gathering for French distributors and hosts scores of international acquisitions execs. It runs from September 1 through 5.
