Kylie Kelce slammed as she confesses to using very controversial method to discipline her kids

Kylie Kelce has revealed that she uses a very controversial parenting method to keep her kids from cursing – and it’s one that some experts don’t approve of.

Kylie, 33, shared the tactic during an appearance on her husband, Jason Kelce, and brother-in-law Travis Kelce’s hit New Heights podcast this week.

She explained that when her kids curse, she uses the old-fashioned method of washing their mouths out with soap to prevent it from happening again.

The Not Gonna Lie podcast host shares four daughters with her husband Jason – Wyatt, six, Elliotte, four, Bennett, two, and eight-month-old Finnley.

‘When our kids say something they shouldn’t say right now, it’s soap in your mouth,’ Kylie said.

The topic came up as they were talking about kids having meltdowns during the holidays, as they reacted to stories that their fans were sending them on X.

During the segment, they read out a submission from a reader, which read, ‘This morning my nine-year-old called me a fat b***h and proceeded to try to run away because we were forcing her to go to the dentist.’

‘How are you supposed to put soap in a nine-year-old’s mouth?’ Kylie wondered.

Travis then joked that you have to ‘scare’ the kids another way, like threatening them with prison time.

Kylie then told a story about her eldest daughter, Wyatt, as she recalled the time when she said the word ‘b***h.’

‘I don’t know that she got [soap in the mouth] that time because she had buyer’s remorse very quickly, but she has gotten it before, which is how she knows I’m not joking about a bar of soap,’ Kylie said.

‘You can’t do empty threats, that’s what you can’t do with it, it’s a waste of time,’ she added.

The method, which has been used for decades, isn’t something that some parenting experts agree with.

Soon after the episode, a fan took to X to slam the star, writing, ‘Kylie Kelce putting soap in her kids’ mouth is beyond repulsive … What a f**king weirdo.’

A parenting expert at Family Education previously branded the practice as ‘cruelty’ rather than ‘discipline.’

In addition, in 2016, Chicago Tribune advice columnist ‘Ask Amy’ said that she considers the tactic to be extremely harmful, according to Scary Mommy.

Kylie’s parenting admission comes just a few days after she revealed why she would never use Botox or injectables in her face.

‘I have four daughters, and I want them to know that they were made exactly the way they were intended to be made and that they should proceed as such,’ she explained during an episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast.

‘When I raise my eyebrows because I’m interested in what my children are saying and I have lines in my forehead, it only furthers the expression.’

Kylie clarified that she has nothing against women who want to ‘plump their lips or freeze their forehead,’ but that she wants women to know that cosmetic surgery ‘doesn’t have to be the new status quo.’
