British Airways crew ‘rushed to hospital after being given weed-laced gummies by passenger’

Three cabin crew members were reportedly rushed to the hospital after they were given marijuana gummies by a passenger.

The British Airways crew members are said to have had ‘out-of-body experiences’ after unknowingly consuming the weed-laced gummies.

Luckily, they only started eating the edibles, which contained up to 300mg of THC, the psychoactive component of marijuana, after the flight from Heathrow had landed in LA last week.

A whole new team were found for the return flight, and the affected crew members were flown back on a separate service days later as passengers.

An investigation has now been launched by British Airways to find the passenger who gave the crew member the marijuana edibles.

‘It is a godsend in this case the sweets in question were not shared out among the crew until they had arrived in the US,’ one source told The Sun.

‘They were consumed in the crew bus after touchdown, and tired staff gratefully gobbled them up. Almost immediately BA staff realised something was wrong.

‘By the time the group had reached the crew hotel, three staff members who had numerous sweets began suffering “out-of-body” experiences. They felt totally out of control and became panicked and scared.’

The source added that they were taken to the hospital for treatment after their symptoms worsened.

It is being treated ‘very seriously’ by British Airways, the source said, adding that the passenger who handed out the weed-laced sweets ‘could face multiple police charges’.

A British Airways spokesperson said: ‘A small number of our crew reported feeling unwell at their hotel and have since recovered.

‘We sent a replacement crew to operate the return flight and there was no impact on our customers.’
