You might have seen UK Lash’s best-selling eyelash serum, but I think their tubing mascara is better – and I’ve had so many compliments

Mascara is a make-up must. I, like most, use it everyday. I would go as far as saying it’d be my desert island product.
Without it, my face seems incomplete. I have naturally dark hair, but my eyelashes and brows are a lot fairer, meaning mascara can really transform my look.
It’s also one of the make-up products I’ve tried the most. There are always new formulas dropping on the high street, which does mean it takes something special for a mascara to stand out.
Maybelline’s cult Lash Sensational Sky High mascara and Lancôme’s trusty Hypnotise are just a couple of best-selling mascaras that found a home in my make-up bag. Speak to any make-up wearing women out there, and it’s likely they own them too.
But Uklash’s tubing mascara hasn’t quite cut through the noise. Yes, their cult eyelash serum is totally game-changing (I’ve had friends and fellow beauty fans hail it as the best, and it’s won awards), but their mascara hasn’t yet made it as a ‘must-have’ – and I’m keen to change that.

Since wearing their tubing mascara, I have never had so many compliments. I’ve never really had noticeably long natural lashes, and I’m yet to use the serum.
So when I say at least 10 people have said ‘wow you’re eyelashes look incredible’, you can trust that they mean it.
Aside from how good my lashes look, I also love how easy the mascara is to apply. Having slightly hooded eyes, I’d always end up with mascara smudged across my eyelid. This being a tubing mascara means it dries and wipes right off.
Then, there’s fall out. Having eye make-up on for over 10 hours and sitting in an office, directly under an air conditioning unit for 8 of those is destined for disaster, right? Wrong. Uklash’s tubing mascara stays in place all day.

I also own the brown Mocha version which is perfect for days I want more of a natural-look, without losing the volume or length.
Mind, my lashes don’t just look fuller, but are the healthiest they’ve ever been, thanks to nourishing ingredients like arginine and shea butter.
There’s no accidental tearing out of any eyelashes in an attempt to wipe your eyes clean. Its wrap-around formula means the product practically falls off with warm water.
But that doesn’t mean they’re not waterproof. Okay, if you’re planning on swimming or diving underwater, you might want to invest in a solid waterproof mascara that won’t budge. But tubing mascaras are water resistant, which means you definitely won’t be at risk of any dark circles.
I’ve worn Uklash’s tubing mascara in humid weather when on holiday and can testify to it’s smudge-proof abilities.
Honestly, it’s the best mascara I’ve tried – and I think it’ll be hard for any luxury brand to beat it, in my eyes.

What is tubing mascara?
Tubing mascara is relatively new to the market. It is a type of mascara that wraps polymer tubes around each eyelash, rather than coating it in pigment. It provides a lash extension effect, with an even coating for a natural look. It won’t go clumpy, flake or fall down your face.
It is water-resistant, and not-oil based which allows for fuss-free removal. With warm water, the formula will slide off in small, string-like tubes.
Does mascara on bottom eyelashes age you?
While it is definitely down to personal preference on whether to apply mascara to the bottom lash line, or not, make-up artists and anti-ageing experts would argue it can age someone’s look. This is mainly because bottom lash mascara is susceptible to smudging, flaking and fallout, which can result in making the eyes look dark and hollow.
Tubing mascara is a great mascara for mature women, as it does not move on oily or textured skin.
