Tokayev Sends Messages of Support to Arab Leaders and Calls for Diplomatic Resolution of Conflicts

Astana – The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has sent personal messages to the leaders of the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the State of Kuwait, expressing his sincere solidarity and full support for the peoples of these brotherly nations amid the current period marked by complex challenges and rapidly evolving regional and international developments.
According to Qazinform News Agency reports, citing President’s Advisor and Press Secretary Aibek Smadyarov, President Tokayev strongly condemned in his messages any military actions that would undermine the sovereignty, security, and stability of states, particularly those that share close ties of friendship and brotherhood with Kazakhstan. He stressed that respect for the principles of national sovereignty and non-interference in the internal affairs of states constitutes a fundamental pillar of Kazakhstan’s foreign policy.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev firmly denounced all military actions aimed at undermining the sovereignty and security of Kazakhstan’s friendly and brotherly nations. In his messages, he stated: “Our country has consistently called for resolving all complex international issues and armed conflicts exclusively through diplomatic means.”
The President also noted that Kazakhstan stands ready to provide any possible assistance to the brotherly Arab states and expressed hope for the continuation of ongoing working contacts with their senior leadership.
President Tokayev further stated: “Our country consistently advocates for the settlement of all complex international issues and armed conflicts solely through diplomatic means and constructive dialogue.” These remarks reflect Kazakhstan’s steadfast commitment to the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, as well as its belief that peaceful solutions are the optimal path toward achieving sustainable security and stability.
The President reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s readiness to offer any possible support to the brotherly Arab states—whether at the political or humanitarian level, or through diplomatic channels—in a manner that contributes to de-escalation and enhances prospects for stability. He also expressed his hope for continued coordination and regular communication with the senior leadership of these countries in a way that serves shared interests and strengthens existing strategic partnerships.
These messages come within the context of growing relations between Kazakhstan and the Arab states, which have witnessed notable progress in recent years across the fields of economy, energy, investment, and cultural cooperation. They also underscore Astana’s commitment to playing an active and balanced role in regional and international affairs, in line with its multi-vector foreign policy grounded in dialogue, cooperation, and respect for mutual interests.
