Jackie O Is Reportedly Accusing ARN Of Wrongful Termination In Kyle & Jackie O Legal Mess

Two weeks after Jackie ‘O’ Henderson walked off the Kyle & Jackie O Show after an epic spat with Kyle Sandilands, insiders are now claiming she’s accused her former employer ARN of wrongful termination and misleading the market amid her legal battle with media company.

It comes after Henderson stepped away from the Kyle & Jackie O radio show after an on-air argument with co-host Kyle Sandilands

At the time, ARN — the parent company behind the program — shared a statement saying the show had been pulled off the air after Henderson “gave notice” that she “cannot continue to work with Mr Sandilands”.

In the same statement, ARN said it had opened the door for Henderson to host “an alternative show on the ARN network”.

Days later, Henderson denied ever quitting the show and said she was addressing the situation through “legal channels”.

Those legal channels have now been revealed by two people with detailed knowledge of Henderson’s legal correspondence with ARN.

The insiders, who spoke anonymously to the Australian Financial Review, claimed Henderson is alleging that ARN wrongfully ended her multi-million dollar radio contract and misled the market when suggesting she had been offered another show within the network.

More specific details about Henderson’s allegations were not revealed, but a wrongful termination claim suggests she did not intend to walk away from the Kyle & Jackie O Show, despite ARN saying as much in its statement announcing the show’s suspension.

Henderson did temporarily step away from the program for over a week to “gather her thoughts” after she and Sandilands argued over astrology during a February 20 broadcast.

In a statement days after the show’s suspension, Henderson said she was “deeply saddened” by the news and that it came “as a shock to me, as it has to everyone else”.

“The current media narrative does not reflect what actually occurred, and it has been truly heartbreaking to see how this has unfolded,” she said.

Meanwhile, Sandilands — who was suspended from his hosting gig for 14 days — issued an apology to Henderson in a statement this week while insisting he is “not in breach of my contract despite what ARN says”.
