Aussie tourist busted having sex in public on a Bali local’s driveway is deported and banned from the country
An Australian man who was caught having sex on the driveway of a resident’s home has been deported from Bali and told not to return for a decade.
Brisbane man Billy Aspinall, 27, was arrested at Denpasar Airport on Wednesday as he was preparing to board a flight home to Australia. He then spent two weeks in immigration detention.
It followed CCTV footage surfacing of a man and woman allegedly engaged in a sex act outside a home in Tibubeneng village, North Kuta, on August 22.
The footage later went viral, prompting police to place Aspinall on a watch list for public indecency.
Indonesian authorities on Wednesday confirmed the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office had deported Aspinall.
He was also banned from entering Indonesia for the next ten years.
Aspinall was loaded onto a Batik Air flight from Denpasar to Brisbane on Tuesday night.
Head of the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, Muhamad Novyandri, said the deportation was essential to maintain public order.

‘We will continue to strengthen immigration oversight and coordinate closely with law enforcement authorities, while taking firm action if any violations of applicable immigration regulations are found in the future,’ he said.
It’s understood the owner of the home had caught Aspinall and an unknown woman having sex in her driveway while she was on her way to a prayer session.
She’d yelled at them to stop but they allegedly ignored her.
North Kuta police described the incident as an ‘immoral act’ and claimed it lasted 15 minutes.
Residents performed a ‘purification ceremony’ on the driveway in the days following.
Facial recognition technology helped officers identify and intercept Aspinall at the airport on August 26.
Aspinall could have been given up to one year in prison for allegedly committing an ‘immoral act’, but instead was handed over to immigration authorities for deportation.
Badung Police chief Joseph Edward Purba at the time noted the homeowner had chosen not to press charges.

Aspinall told police he had been in Bali for four days to attend his friend’s wedding.
He said he did not know the name or nationality of the woman involved, as they had both been drinking.
‘He said that he met the woman in a club on the beach near the house,’ said police investigator Azarul Ahmad.
Police were searching for the woman, who they believe was a tourist.
Indonesia has overhauled its Criminal Code which now criminalises premarital sex, cohabitation and public drunkenness.
Under the new laws adopted in January, adultery, premarital sex and cohabitation, or unmarried couples living together, are now potential crimes with penalties ranging from between six months to a year in jail.
