Boy, seven, rushed to hospital after car smashed through chicken shop and ploughed into table where he was eating

A young boy has been hospitalised and two other children injured in a horror crash at a chicken shop.

A BMW station wagon smashed into the front of Wicked Chicken in Allambie Heights, on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, about 3pm on Sunday.

The boy, who NSW Police said was ‘aged around seven’, was treated at the scene for leg and arm injuries.

He was later rushed to Sydney Children’s Hospital.

It’s understood he was sitting at a table in the restaurant at the time of the crash.

Two other children were treated at the scene for ‘minor injuries’.

The driver of the BMW was breath tested at the scene.

‘An investigation has commenced into the circumstances of the crash,’ NSW Police said in a statement.
