Dua Lipa goes viral as she is caught chatting to renowned baseball superfan Marlins Man in bizarre moment at Yankees game

Baseball fans experienced one of the most bizarre crossovers between sport and pop culture during the New York Yankees’ playoff game on Wednesday night.
Pop sensation Dua Lipa and her husband, actor Callum Turner, had a front row seat for the Yankees’ playoff implosion as they were eliminated in an ugly sweep at the hands of the Tampa Bay Rays in the Bronx.
However, the A-list couple were joined by slightly unusual company, leaving MLB fans stunned on social media.
The Training Season hitmaker and British actor were seen chatting to ‘Marlins Man,’ a wildly popular X user dedicated to the MLB team, the Miami Marlins.
In one video shared online, Marlins Man, whose real name is Laurence Leavy, was seen deep in conversation with the A-listers before they turned their attention back to the field.
In another instance Leavy could be seen showing the couple, who tied the knot earlier this year, something on his phone.

He later took to X to explain that he was telling them ‘stuff about Bad Bunny’ and to stand during ‘God Bless America.’
Leavy, who was decked out in bright orange Marlins merchandise, himself managed to snag a selfie with the celebrity pair. He leaned in as Dua beamed for the camera with Turner also making the frame.
‘She is SUPER NICE. Maybe best ever celebrity i met,’ he gushed about the singer.
The bizarre scenes left the baseball community stunned on social media with many seeing the hilarious side to Leavy’s interactions with the stars.
‘Dua Lipa so lucky she gets to sit next to a celebrity,’ one X user quipped, referring to Marlins Man’s online following.
‘There are zero remaining sentences,’ Barstool Sports posted alongside a clip of Leavy seated alongside Dua and Turner.
Game 3 of the Yankees’ American League Divisional Series against the Rays marked a date night for Dua and Turner as they sat two rows from home plate.
The couple appeared loved-up as Dua cozied up to her husband throughout the game five months after tying the knot.

They married in May in a small ceremony at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London after first sparking dating rumors back in 2024 before holding a star-studded wedding celebration in Sicily in June.
However, it wasn’t pretty viewing for the couple and the Yankees fans surrounding them as the Pinstripes slumped to defeat and playoff elimination.
Max Fried gave up two home runs, the Yankees had one taken off the board by fan interference and then their season ended with a whimper.
After Anthony Volpe’s would-be tying homer in the bottom of the sixth inning turned into a double on video review, the Yankees did not get a runner past second base.
When leadoff hitter Trent Grisham struck out to end the ninth, it capped a 4-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 3 of the AL Division Series and a series sweep that extended the Yankees’ championship drought to 17 years.
