Dwayne Johnson undergoes shock transformation into elderly man as he steps out on Lizard Music movie set in NYC

Dwayne Johnson looked unrecognizable while filming Benny Safdie’s new film Lizard Music in Brooklyn, New York City on Tuesday.
The Moana actor, 54, transformed into an elderly man in shock photos from the set that saw him walking hunched over.
The WWE alum – who shot to fame under his moniker The Rock in the wrestling ring – looked worlds away from his famously chiseled physique after slimming down for the role.
Dressed in full senior citizen guise, which included grey hair peeking out from beneath his brown bucket hat, he donned a tan trench coat, blue shirt, and tie while shooting outdoor scenes opposite child actor Theo Clark Leber.
They were both seen carrying large slices of pizza, with Leber also holding a large lizard plushy.
The film, which is set to be released next year, follows a young boy and his friendship with a ‘peculiar man with an elderly chicken,’ as per the synopsis.

‘Their quest for answers reveals hidden worlds and an unlikely but magical friendship.’
The movie also stars Rachel McAdams, Alicia Silverstone, Colman Domingo, Tim Heidecker, Regina Hall and Jeff Goldblum.
The project is based on the Daniel Pinkwater novel of the same name, which was originally published in 1976.
While on set Johnson was also pictured chatting with Safdie, who recently played Agamemnon in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey.
It’s not the first time Johnson has undergone a massive transformation for a movie role.
Last year he packed on more than 30 pounds of muscle to play Mark Kerr in The Smashing Machine – a biopic about the MMA fighter.
‘For me, the transformation was 22 prosthetics, over 30 pounds that I had to put on, which is a lot of weight,’ he said on Good Morning America.
Last year he spoke about having to slim down to play the Chicken Man character in Lizard Music.

‘I still have a long ways to go,’ he told Variety in September. ‘I’m so excited to get a chance to hopefully transform again like I was able to do in Smashing Machine. [It means] eating less chicken,’ he quipped.
