Heartwarming moment airwoman leaves her adoring little sister in disbelief as she surprises her after three years away
A member of the US Air Force popped into her little sister’s classroom after three years away, and the heartwarming moment was captured on video.
Jayauna Tyler has served in the military since 2019, after graduating from McKinley High School in Canton, Ohio, a suburb outside Akron.
She came home for a short visit earlier this week, unbeknownst to her sister, Miah Pierce.
The Akron Beacon Journal captured the tear-jerking moments when Jayauna stepped into the classroom on Monday after Miah’s teacher introduced her as a ‘guest speaker.’
Jayauna walked in with her military uniform, and Miah was in disbelief. She immediately ran up to her sister and jumped into her arms.
‘She ain’t letting go,’ one onlooker said as the two hugged.
Miah’s teacher asked her to tell the class who Jayauna is. ‘This is my sister. She’s from the Air Force,’ Miah told her classmates in tears.
The classroom erupted in applause when she explained that she had not seen her sister in years.

The girls’ mom, Shayna Taylor, also popped in for the surprise and tearfully watched her daughters reunite.
‘This was a hard secret to keep. I couldn’t sleep at all the night before,’ Shayna told the Akron Beacon Journal.
‘This is amazing. Everything is just amazing. I’m so glad she’s here. No words can describe what it means to have her home,’ the beaming mom said.
Miah added that she had no idea what was going on and her sister’s surprise was a ‘big shock.’
