High-ranking bikie boss’ alleged connection to anti-Semitic arson attack as 14 people are arrested in massive police crackdown

A bikie boss was one of 14 people arrested in raids on Monday following a wave of anti-Semitic attacks across Sydney in recent months.
Sayad Moosawi, 34, a former Nomads Parramatta chapter president, was arrested at Burwood Police Station after he was transferred from a NSW correctional facility.
Moosawi is accused of directing two arson attacks on Bondi businesses, including a brewery that was mistakenly believed to be a kosher deli.
He was charged with knowingly directing the activities of a criminal group, being an accessory before the fact to destroy property in company using fire, and being an accessory before the fact to damage property by fire or explosion.
Moosawi denies any he was involved in the attacks and pleaded not guilty through his lawyer at Waverley Local Court on Tuesday morning.
The arson attacks, allegedly directed by a shadowy figure who used the handle ‘James Bond’ in communications, targetted the Curly Lewis Brewery early on the morning of October 13 and Lewis’ Continental Kitchen a week later.
Following the raids 14 people have been charged with a total of 65 offences after investigations into multiple anti-Semitic incidents across Sydney’s east between October and February.
Those charged are aged between 18 and 41 and were arrested after warrants and firearm prohibition orders were executed at premises across the city.

The arrests were made as part of Strike Force Pearl, an ongoing investigation into the series of anti-Semitic incidents from November 2024 to January 2025, which included racist graffiti and firebombings of cars.
Among those arrested was 33-year-old man who police allege spray-painted graffiti on motor vehicles and properties on February 2.
A 40-year-old man was arrested at Penshurst and police allege that he spray painted graffiti at a home and a school at Maroubra, a shopping centre at Eastgardens, and a home at Eastlakes.
