If Your Name Is Toby & You’re Running The Sydney Marathon, Read This Article
Is your name Toby (or a variation of Toby)? Are you running the TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS in August? If you answered yes to both those things, boy, do we have the offer of a lifetime.
Toby’s Estate is pulling together Team Toby, and yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like. The specialty coffee roaster is running (haha, get it?) a national callout for marathon participants named Toby — or any variation of the name — who will be completing the 2026 TCS Sydney Marathon.
Join Team Toby and you’ll receive a stacked sponsorship pack and a few post-mara perks worth putting in the km’s for.

If you’re a Toby and think you’ve got what it takes, apply and you could become an official Toby’s Estate-sponsored Toby.
What’s on offer?
Well, Toby’s Estate is not letting its namesakes go without!
The official coffee partner of the TCS Sydney Marathon is offering a hell of a sponsorship pack for eligible Tobys, Tobiases, or the like. Valued at $4K AUD, the pack includes some high-ticket items like a $2K Luxury Escapes voucher, which you could use for a post-mara decompress.
There’s also a $1K Visa gift card for you to use however you choose. It could be treating yourself to a trip away or an otherworldly supply of post-run snacks.
From there, you’ll also receive a year’s supply of Toby’s Estate coffee, BleeqUp Ranger AI sports camera glasses, running kit and your marathon entry covered. Not a bad return for being called Toby.
What’s so important about Team Toby?
This year’s TCS Sydney Marathon is going to be one of the biggest ever, with a record-breaking 40,000 planning to run — almost 7,000 more than the 32,963 who finished in 2025.
Marathon running may be a solo battle of endurance, but ask anyone who’s given it a crack and the community you find amongst your fellow runners is nothing to scoff at.
Team Toby is Toby’s Estates’ way of supporting its runners and building community for those hitting the pavement come August 30.

How do you get involved?
Apply by July 19 for a chance to join Team Toby.
They’ll be screening for names, so be sure you’ve got something that could reasonably be a variation of Toby — if your name is Charles, they may have cause for concern.
So to all the Tobys out there, we say good luck and happy running.
