Lindsay Clancy lawyer erupts outside court as jurors deliberate fate of postpartum mom: Live updates

Lindsay Clancy’s defense lawyer exploded outside the Plymouth County Superior Court on Monday as he slammed journalists for criticizing the postpartum mom’s case.

‘Mr Hannity, discussing every little inch of Lindsay’s symptoms, criticizing her,’ Kevin Reddington said, referring to conservative tv host Sean Hannity.

‘Nancy Grace, to coin a phrase, “Queen of Mean,” who misrepresents facts,’ he exclaimed. ‘I challenge Nancy Grace to show us where Lindsay Clancy ever Googled “how to kill.” These are the things that hurt people… If you’re going to be a journalist, do it right.’

Clancy is on trial for murdering her three children Cora, 5, Dawson, 3 and Callan, eight months, using exercise bands at her Duxbury, Massachusetts home in January 2023.

Jurors are now in their third day of deliberations. Reddington confirmed to the Daily Mail that the jury requested to see the two bags of pill bottles and the knife found by police on the night of the killings on Friday.

The defense argued that the former labor and delivery nurse was suffering from postpartum depression and psychosis brought on by overmedication, while prosecutors maintained that she was aware of and in control of her actions.

A jury of nine women and three men, who are non-sequestered, will decide if the Massachusetts mom is guilty of first degree murder, second degree murder or manslaughter, or if she is not guilty by reason of insanity.

Verdict deliberations resume as jurors focus on crucial pieces of evidence

Lindsay Clancy verdict deliberations resume today after the jury failed to reach a decision following 10 hours of discussions.

During the trial, jurors were shown a bloody knife that Clancy used in an attempt to take her life, along with bags containing empty prescription pill bottles that were found in her house.

Clancy’s attorney, Kevin Reddington, said the jury asked to see the knife and bags of pill bottles during deliberations on Friday.

During his closing argument, Reddington held up a bag of empty pill bottles that he said he found in Clancy’s nightstand.

He argued it showed the police did not thoroughly investigate and questioned why they did not seize it as evidence.
