Will Taylor Frankie Paul Be In Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives Season 5 At All?

When season five of The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives went on pause earlier this year, it honestly felt like MomTok might never recover.
The production shut down in March after an alleged domestic violence incident involving Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen, and the whole show was suddenly hanging on what happened next. Prosecutors ultimately decided not to file charges against Taylor, which meant Hulu could quietly start rolling the cameras again.
Now that things have calmed down a bit, Taylor is back on set, just not in the way people were expecting. TMZ reports that she’s returning for season five in a limited capacity. Apparently she’s shooting the season five opening over a couple of days and “is not expected to film anything else,” so no scenes with the rest of the cast and no confessionals. If you’re watching weekly, you’ll see her in the credits, then she’s gone.
Off camera, Taylor’s been pretty open about trying to get her life together before she properly returns to reality TV. Earlier this year she told followers on Instagram that she’d checked into a facility to focus on her mental health, explaining that she “needed to reset” and that people go to treatment “for a list of reasons”, not just substance issues.
A source also told PEOPLE she had “checked into a facility upon the recommendation of her doctor” before leaving her voluntary stay.
Meanwhile, the rest of the show is shifting too. Filming has resumed, but producers have indicated Dakota won’t be returning to Mormon Wives at all.
Although Taylor won’t be in the show properly she’s definitely still on the minds of the rest of the group with some of the girls posting some pointed TikToks:
