Woman accused of attempting to poison two boys after elderly neighbour realised something was wrong

A woman has been arrested after allegedly trying to poison two children.
Queensland Police arrested the 47-year-old woman in Brisbane after she was discharged from hospital on Thursday.
It’s alleged a 70-year-old man had contacted police after visiting a home in Mitchelton, in the city’s northwest.
The visitor allegedly noticed a ‘noxious substance’.
Police will allege the woman attempted to murder two boys aged 12 and 15 using the ‘substance’ on September 24.
‘The boys did not require medical treatment and are safe and well,’ Queensland Police said in a statement.
The woman was taken to hospital for treatment.
She was later discharged and was immediately arrested by police.

Investigators from Ferny Grove Child Protection and Investigation Unit charged her with two counts of attempted murder, domestic violence offence against a child.
She was expected to front Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday afternoon.
