Woolworths scare as young girl discovers glass in her bread and mother shares urgent warning

A Brisbane mother has issued an urgent safety warning to Aussies to check their bread after her young daughter made an alarming discovery.

The 7-year-old was enjoying a toasted sandwich with her siblings on Monday when she pulled out a large shard of glass after a few bites.

The Tip Top ‘The One’ soft white loaf was bought from Moorooka Woolworths in Brisbane’s south.

The bread had a best before date of August 19.

The horrified mother has contacted the supermarket.

‘My seven-year-old daughter just pulled this glass out of her mouth,’ she posted on a community Facebook page.

‘Posting for anyone else who has Tip Top bread. Please check before consuming.’

An investigation by Woolworths and Tip Top has been launched.
