Trump’s lawyer is suing him

Former US President Donald Trump’s former attorney Michael Cohen has filed a lawsuit against him and the US federal government.

In December 2018, Cohen was sentenced to three years in prison. He pleaded guilty to violating campaign finance laws and brokering Trump’s “silencing payments” to porn actress Stormy Daniels.
In addition, Cohen admitted to tax evasion and perjury before Congress. In the summer of 2020, he was placed under house arrest due to the coronavirus pandemic. Because of his public appearances, the lawyer was sent back to prison, but was released again.

According to the New York Daily News, Cohen’s lawsuit indicated that his return to prison was related to his book on Trump. The lawyer is demanding compensation from the former president and the US government.

On his Twitter page, Cohen wrote that he plans to sue the US government, Trump, and former Attorney General William Barr for his “unconstitutional return to (Jail) Otisville on the basis of his refusal to abide by the constitutional rights of the First Amendment.”
