An ISIS supporter arrested for trying to recruit students in Moscow

Moscow police arrested a supporter of the Islamic State, an international terrorist organization banned in Russia, who was trying to recruit MIREA students in religious extremist and terrorist activities.

It is noteworthy that the attacker was discovered as a result of raids carried out by officers of the FSB, the Ministry of the Interior and the Russian Guard.

According to the FSB, a citizen of the Central Asian Republic who is a student of RTU-MIREA was detained. The young man spoke positively about the activities of ISIS supporters and promoted their ideology on the Internet.

It was also clarified that the suspect distributed material that constituted a negative opinion of traditional Islam and other religions. The young man demanded the armed forces to establish a caliphate in Iraq and the Syrian Arab Republic.
