The Minister of Tourism participates in the annual celebration of Europe Day organized by the European Union delegation in Cairo

Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Issa, on behalf of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, participated in the annual celebration of Europe Day 2024, organized by the European Union Delegation in Cairo, which falls on May 9 of each year.

 

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities explained – in a statement, today, Friday, that a number of current and former ministers, some ambassadors of foreign countries in Cairo, and representatives of some ministries, government agencies, civil society institutions, the business community, and development agents participated in the event, and the ceremony witnessed segments Musical art.

During his speech during the celebration, the head of the European Union delegation in Cairo, Ambassador Christian Berger, praised the European-Egyptian relations, which witnessed a great development in the volume of cooperation at various levels, stressing the continued strengthening of further cooperation. To face regional and international challenges, reviewing the most prominent files of joint cooperation and the remarkable development witnessed by European-Egyptian relations in recent years.

It is worth noting that there are close relations between Egypt and the European Union, and these relations are witnessing great development at all levels. And distinguished cooperation in several fields, including tourism and antiquities, especially through the existing cooperation to push more incoming tourist traffic to Egypt from various European Union countries, in addition to some projects that are being implemented in cooperation between the Supreme Council of Antiquities and the European Union, such as some aspects of the project to develop the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir. , which is carried out in cooperation with the European Union through an alliance of five European museums: “The British Museum, the Louvre Museum, the Turin Museum, the Leiden Museum, and the Berlin Museum.”
