Omicron is more dangerous for children

Doctor Animesh Arya at New Delhi Medical Institute said the Omicron strain may be more dangerous to children due to the respiratory system.

“Children’s airways are smaller than those of adults, and this new form mainly affects the upper airways of affected patients,” he said.

Symptoms of infection include a sore throat, mild fever and fatigue, he said.
