Tokyo warns Japanese in Ukraine

Hirokazu Matsuno, Secretary-General of the Japanese Cabinet, called on Japanese citizens in Ukraine to prepare for a possible change in the situation in the country and to take the necessary security measures in this regard.

He noted that Tokyo is closely watching the development of the situation in Ukraine.

Earlier, the Pope suggested holding a day of prayer for peace due to the situation across Ukraine. He expressed his concern over “the escalation of tension that threatens to strike a new blow to the world in Ukraine and question the security of the European continent.”
