US F-35 fighter jet crashes in South China Sea
The US military has confirmed the authenticity of photos and videos published in the media from the moment the latest F-35 fighter crashed while trying to land on the deck of an aircraft carrier.
The video was recorded, most likely, from the deck. Also in the frame was the moment of the ejection of the pilot before the collapse.
The US Air Force’s F-35 fighter crashed on January 24 while landing on the aircraft carrier Carl Vinson in the South China Sea.
During the unsuccessful landing, seven sailors were injured, three of whom were taken to a hospital in the Philippines.
The US military is now trying to lift the wrecked fighter from the seabed.
