Egypt begins locally manufacturing K9 howitzers

Egypt and South Korea signed an agreement to transfer technologies for the local production of the Samsung K9 155mm howitzer.
South Korea’s Defense Acquisition Program (DAPA) chief Kang Eun-ho said K9 production in Egypt would be domestic and described the relationship between the two countries as “beyond a business relationship.”
Egypt will be the eighth country to adopt K9. Now this howitzer is in the armies of Turkey, Poland, India, Norway, Finland, Estonia and Australia.
