Ukraine submits a formal application to join the EU
The representative of Ukraine in the European Union Vsevolod Chintsov said that the application for the country’s accession to the European Union has been registered.
“The process has begun,” Chintsov said.
“I have handed Ukraine’s application to join the European Union, signed by President (Vladimir) Zelensky, to the French Permanent Representative to the European Union Philippe Legless Costa … the application is registered.”
Polish President Andrzej Duda said that the heads of eight European Union countries support Ukraine’s entry into the alliance as soon as possible.
