"Emirates Cycling": The Federation will soon launch a qualitative initiative to prepare talented people and qualify them to compete globally

Abu Dhabi, April 26 / WAM / Engineer Mansour Bu Oseiba, President of the Emirates Cycling Federation, confirmed that the Federation will soon launch, in a press conference, a qualitative initiative related to preparing and qualifying distinguished and talented young riders, to be established and trained to compete at the global level.
He explained that this initiative is the first of its kind in the Middle East and the region, and it will be a special track for these riders, with the aim of preparing them for what comes after the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, as it will focus on younger and younger ages, and will have a role in preparing them to participate with the continental team.
The President of the Emirates Cycling Federation said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, that the coming period will witness the conclusion of the current cycling season, through the holding of 3 local championships, and the season’s closing ceremony, honoring the partners.
He pointed out that cyclist Safiya Al-Sayegh will participate with the national team in a European camp, before the team participates in the Asian Championship in Kazakhstan.

Regarding the results of the national junior team in the Gulf Games “Emirates 2024”, which will continue until next May 2, with one gold and three silvers won so far, Bouasiba said: “We were hoping to get more colorful medals, but we were not lucky, especially since Preparing for the tournament was not enough, and it came a short period before participation.”
He added: “There will be a third race at the Gulf Games dedicated to the individual time trial, and we hope to increase our collection of colorful medals in it.”
