Biden gives Ukraine $1 billion in military aid

US President Joseph Biden said at the White House during a brief speech on Washington’s military assistance to Ukraine, that his country will allocate an additional $800 million to the Ukrainian authorities, and the total assistance this week will reach $1 billion.
Biden made it clear that this week alone, new US security assistance will reach $1 billion. “On Saturday, my administration ordered another $200 million to support Ukraine’s continued supply of weapons and defense needs. Once again, I use my authority to allocate another $800 million for additional defense systems to continue helping Ukraine.”
According to him, the assistance package includes 800 air defense systems, 9,000 anti-tank systems, 7,000 small arms, 20 million ammunition and a drone.
“I want to be honest with you,” President Biden told Americans as he assessed the current situation in Ukraine. “This could be a long and difficult battle.”
Earlier, NBC reported that the administration of President Joseph Biden is considering providing Ukraine with advanced Switchblades guided missiles that can hit tanks and artillery positions from miles away.
