Turkey sets up an airline to transport tourists from Russia directly to Turkish resorts

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Transport, as well as the Ministry of Treasury and Finance of Turkey have approved a three-phase road map to attract tourists from Russia to the country

It is planned to create a new airline for charter flights to resorts. According to the morning newspaper.

It is noteworthy that the airline’s new aircraft will be located at Antalya Airport. Only flights between Russian cities and Turkish resorts will be operated.

“Thanks to this airline, it will be possible to attract an additional 1 million Russian tourists,” Sabah notes.

In addition, another Turkish airline, Turkish Airlines, has agreed with Russian tour operators to allocate groups of seats for them on flights.

According to the newspaper, within the framework of the roadmap, the Turkish authorities are discussing issuing a $300 million loan to tour operators ANEX Tour, Pegas Touristik and Coral Travel.

The travel support package is expected to be announced in early May 2022.

Earlier, tour operators spoke of a sharp decrease in the number of bookings for flights to Turkey and Egypt.
