Important warning: WHO announces an outbreak of an unknown virus that affects children’s livers.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced the emergence of a new virus that affects the liver in children.

According to Reuters, 228 cases are already known in 20 countries, one child has died, and one in ten has required an organ transplant.

The first reports of cases appeared in Scotland. The infection affects children between the ages of one month and 16 years, the vast majority of whom are under the age of ten.

The main symptoms are abdominal pain, diarrhea and nausea with little or no fever.

Then the typical signs of hepatitis appear – yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes, dark urine, light-colored stools, muscle and joint pain.

According to scientists, the new virus may be related to the coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier in China, the first human case of H3N8 bird flu strain was reported. Reportedly, the infection was discovered in a four-year-old boy who lives in Gumadian City, Henan Province, central China.

Infection occurred on April 5 as a result of contact with domestic birds. The child was taken to hospital on 10 April as his condition deteriorated. At the same time, all his relatives are in good health.
