Sarah Hyland Exits ‘Love Island USA’ After Two Seasons As Host On Peacock

Sarah Hyland exits her hosting duties on Love Island USA after two seasons on Peacock.

“Well, just got a text,” Hyland shared on Instagram Stories, making reference to how the islanders communicate within the dating show. “I’m disappointed the news had to break this way but it is in fact true that I will not be returning to the island this summer.”

She continued, “I have committed to an exciting project that will be announced soon that conflicts directly with the shooting dates for Love Island USA.”

Hyland added that she was “sad I can’t return” and hoped “to see lots of love this summer on Peacock this upcoming season.”

Although Peacock hasn’t confirmed who will be replacing Hyland as host, TMZ reported that Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix is set to replace the Modern Family alum.

Hyland joined the dating competition for Season 4 when the show moved to Peacock from CBS. Arielle Vandenberg hosted the show since the format was adapted to the U.S. back in 2019 and remained at the helm for the first three seasons.

Following Season 5, Peacock renewed Love Island USA for two seasons, which would see the show on the streamer through Season 7.

Love Island USA is produced by ITV Entertainment, an ITV America company. David George, Adam Sher, Simon Thomas, Ben Thursby-Palmer, Andy Cadman, Iona Mackenzie, Sophie Bush, and Claudine Parrish served as executive producers of Season 5, alongside Tom Gould, Richard Cowles, Mike Spencer, Richard Foster, and Chet Fenster.

The series is based on a format owned by Lifted Entertainment and GroupM Motion Entertainment and distributed by ITV Studios.
