Health: Screening 12.9 million citizens through the early detection initiative for chronic diseases and kidney disease

The Ministry of Health and Population announced that 12,923,617 citizens have been examined, as part of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s initiative, to examine and treat chronic diseases and early detection of kidney disease, since the launch of the initiative in September 2021..

 

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the initiative operates through 3,601 primary care units nationwide, and aims to early diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases and provide high-quality health services to all citizens in this category. Age group over 40 years, in addition to the category of young people over the age of 18 who have a history of chronic diseases.

 

And “Abdul Ghaffar” added: The initiative provides tests to measure blood pressure, blood sugar levels (random and cumulative), blood lipids, kidney tests, and body mass index, in addition to providing awareness services on risk factors for chronic diseases, and following up on the beneficiaries of the initiative, during successive visits whose dates are determined accordingly.
