Chinese institutions participate in the UAE Food Bank campaign "Your breakfast is on us"
Dubai, April 5 / WAM / The Emirates Food Bank, in cooperation with a number of prominent Chinese institutions in the country, organized a campaign to distribute 1,400 meals to eligible workers, as part of the “Your Breakfast is on Us” campaign that the bank launched during the holy month of Ramadan.
China Mobile International Co., Ltd., the China Architecture Corporation, the Bank of China Dubai Branch, and the China Construction Corporation Middle East Branch participated in the initiative, where the institutions donated meals to the workers in coordination with the UAE Food Bank.
This initiative comes within the framework of joint efforts to strengthen the bonds of cooperation and friendship between the United Arab Emirates and the People’s Republic of China, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Through their participation in these charitable and humanitarian activities, Chinese institutions aim to consolidate the values of giving and social solidarity between the two friendly peoples.
It is noteworthy that the Emirates Food Bank is one of the global initiatives launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him”, as a leading non-profit organization that seeks to reduce food waste and distribute the surplus to those in need in cooperation with various parties.
