6 Nigerian soldiers were killed by a homemade mine explosion

Niamey, April 11 (WAM) – 6 Nigerian soldiers were killed in a mine explosion on their vehicle in the Inates region, near the Malian border.
The Nigerian Ministry of Defense explained in a statement today that the six soldiers were killed when their vehicle returning from the Inates region passed over a homemade mine near the village of Tingara in the southwest of the country, adding that other soldiers were injured and were evacuated by helicopter to the capital, Niamey.
She added that aerial reconnaissance made it possible to find the terrorists involved in planting the mine, and they were targeted by an air strike.
