Chicago, April 11 / WAM / Sanad Group, the global leader in aerospace engineering and financing solutions, announced the strengthening of its partnership with Asiana Airlines, the second largest airline in South Korea, by renewing its contract for an additional five years at a value amounting to 532 million dirhams.

The renewal of the contract confirms Sanad’s leadership in maintenance, repair and overhaul services for V2500 aircraft engines, and reflects its commitment to excellence in providing a superior level of services in the global aviation sector.

The new agreement with Asiana Airlines was announced on the sidelines of Sanad’s participation in the Aircraft Engine Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Exhibition in the Americas “MRO Americas”, which is being held in Chicago, USA.

This exhibition is considered the largest global exhibition in the aircraft maintenance sector, with the attendance of more than 16,000 visitors from all over the world.

Under this ongoing partnership, Sanad will serve the Asiana Airlines fleet of V2500 engines through its modern facilities in Abu Dhabi, where the South Korean airline operates a fleet of more than 80 aircraft that provides a wide range of passenger and cargo services locally and internationally, through an extensive network that includes More than 80 air routes.

Sanad’s partnership with Asiana Airlines, which began in 2018, contributes to consolidating the company’s leading position as the sole provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul services for Asiana Airlines aircraft engines in the Middle East and North Africa region. It also enhances its reputation as a leading independent global provider of these services, in addition to supporting the operational efficiency of Asiana Airlines’ extensive fleet.

The V2500 engine, which has been produced by the global aircraft engine company IAE since 1989, is considered a cornerstone of the aviation sector, as this type of engine powers a large aircraft fleet of more than 7,600 engines for Airbus A320 and A321ceo aircraft worldwide.

These engines are known for their reliability, efficiency and high performance. It serves about 150 airline operators in more than 80 countries. It is noteworthy that Sanad’s extensive experience in the field of aircraft engine maintenance, repair and overhaul extends to more than 35 years. It has serviced more than 600 V2500 engines since 2012.
