The European Commission stresses the importance of the International Renewable Energy Agency meetings in Abu Dhabi

BRUSSELS, 16 APRIL / WAM / The European Commission in Brussels stressed the importance of the meetings of the fourteenth session of the General Assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), scheduled for tomorrow, “Wednesday,” in Abu Dhabi.

She said in a statement that the fourteenth session meetings come in the wake of the successful global commitment to renewable energy and energy efficiency, led by the European Union and the UAE’s presidency of the Twenty-eighth Conference of the Parties, which received the support of more than 120 countries, and was included in the conclusions of the Conference of the Parties that pledge It has all parties.

European Energy Commissioner Kadri Simson is scheduled to participate in these meetings, which will continue until Thursday, April 18, and will deliver several speeches during a high-level plenary session regarding tripling renewable energy capacity. During the Global Offshore Wind Alliance (GOWA) Ministerial Dialogue on Financing; During a ministerial roundtable on the geopolitics of energy security and a ministerial roundtable on energy transition infrastructure, during the plenary session on accelerating the development of bankable and financeable renewable energy projects, and during the plenary session on policies and skills to accelerate the energy transition.
