Tunisia ranks 10th globally out of 132 countries in 2023 in terms of scientific production.

   The Director General of the National Agency for the Promotion of Scientific Research in Tunisia, Chadli Abdali, said that his country ranked tenth globally out of 132 countries during the year 2023 at the level of scientific production.

Abdali added – in statements today, Wednesday, on the sidelines of his participation in the launch of the program. Youth scientific research – the most important challenges lie in the interaction between research structures and the economic and social environment, and how to employ research to serve society and the economy, and the agency seeks to eliminate this problem by seeking to create competencies to link the two parties.

He pointed out that the funded SWAFI project From the European Union, it seeks to create added value from scientific research and innovation by encouraging young people to create projects, as 230 projects were established and a grant of 1,700 dinars per month was given to student researchers for a period of 24 months.

He continued, “The National Agency for the Promotion of Scientific Research Through the SWAFI project, it seeks to create creative opportunities for children and youth in educational and university institutions, noting that funding opportunities in Tunisia exist, but effective and important projects must be presented to benefit from them.
